God is making all things new in His time (Revelation 21:5). Even in the barren seasons, He is creating ways where it seems impossible (Isaiah 43:18-19). The new year brings new resolve to do more and be better. This impulse is good. But the catch is, we cannot find new life by trying to be better, but only through faith in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit that renews us. He has a hope and a future for you as you put your trust and hope in JESUS!
